The collector

Thanks fot visiting my site!

i started collecting documentation and militaria about 30 years ago. One of my first items was a '44 dated welfare biscuit tin  Since then, I was intriged by these tins. Now, in 2022,  I have app. 250 genuine period biscuit tins.

My father, born in 1938, was raised in Rotterdam during the war years, experienced hunger and probably survived because of allied food aid.

In the past few decades, I have heard tens of people claiming they survived the Hungerwinter thanks to Allied food aid.
